What are invisible orthodontics?

Invisible Orthodontics at Ziving® is done with the INVISALIGN SYSTEM®.
Through this orthodontic technique we can straighten crowded, separated, crooked or badly fitted teeth.
Previously we will diagnose and plan the best solution for the dental problem, and before starting the invisible orthodontic treatment we will show you the result we want to achieve.

From that moment on we will prepare, with our clinical indications, a sequence of transparent plastic aligners (INVISALIGN®) that you will change every few days and that they will gradually correct your dental malposition.

The success of the correction depends directly on our diagnosis and treatment plan. That is why we will give you the guarantee of results as we have been doing in all our orthodontic treatments for more than 30 years and with an experience of over 200.000 treated patients. In addition, since 2015 we have had the exclusive certification DIAMOND PROVIDER granted by Invisalign.

Types of invisible solutions

The Invisalign adapts to the patient. We offer different treatment systems depending on the age of the patient. From children with Invisalign first to adults with the complete Invisalign system.

Invisalign for Kids

  • There is no special orthodontic diet, you can eat anything.
  • You can play any musical instrument: saxophone, trumpet...
  • Any contact sport can be practised, there is no risk of it sticking to the gums.
  • It can be worn only for sleeping.

As an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment, at Ziving es Ortodoncia we also carry out children's treatments with the invisible orthodontic technique - Invisalign First.

As there is no need to tighten or bend the brackets or wires, you can imagine that the experience with the Invisalign treatment will be more comfortable than with braces. Children deserve to feel confident, be able to eat and drink with few limitations, maintain their normal oral hygiene routine and have smooth tooth movements with less pain. They deserve a proven treatment that is already trusted by more than 5 million people, including adult teens and children worldwide.

With this technique we create an effective treatment plan that supports dental movement by expanding the predictable arch.  This allows us to treat children with early to late teething more easily.

Invisalign for Teenagers

  • Blue Compliance Indicators that lose their colour until they are transparent so that the dentist, the parents and the teenager can calculate the effective time of use.
  • Special tools to compensate for the dentition of the canines, second premolars and second molars.
  • Six individual replacement aligners to replace any broken or missing originals

Invisalign offers a range of treatment options for adolescents. The great advantage of Invisalign is that it is an aesthetic and more flexible way to give teenagers the confidence of a good smile. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are comfortable, removable and virtually invisible, allowing teens to continue to enjoy life without the limitations, discomfort or inhibition of wearing metal braces and wires.

Invisalign offers several treatment options for adolescents, depending on the stage of development of the teeth.

Some young people may be prescribed the same Invisalign treatment as adult patients. Younger adolescents or those whose teeth are still erupting can be treated with Invisalign Teen, which is a treatment designed specifically for adolescents. The dentist will determine the treatment that best suits each individual case, depending on the condition of the teeth.

At our Ziving orthodontic clinics we opt for the Invisalign Teen method has been developed with teenagers, parents and leading orthodontists who understand the active lifestyle and unique treatment needs of young patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions we are usually asked by mothers who come to Ziving to start invisible orthodontic treatment for adolescents

What are ataches and what are they for?

The ataches are some small composite reliefs that stick to the teeth.

These ataches are used to make more effective the procedure, this is because the aligners cannot carry out the movements themselves.

That is to say, they need these small composite reliefs to be able to exercise more strength and turn the teeth.

There are different types of attachments depending on their size, shape or purpose, that is to say, the movement you want to achieve.

The placement of these attaches is customized, this means that not all patients wear the same number of teeth, or on the same teeth.

It is also very common for a person not to wear the same attachments throughout the treatment. That is to say, they are changed from time to time according to the needs of each stage.

Once the teeth have been aligned and the treatment is finished we will remove all the attaches form the teeth.

What is the ClinCheck?

The ClinCheck is probably the greatest differential element of Invisalign compared to other orthodontic systems.

We say this because ClinCheck is a software that provides a lot of predictability to the treatment

On the one hand, it allows to recreate the movements that the teeth will perform over time.

On the other hand, it makes it possible for the patient to see what the final result of his smile before we put the first aligner.

Can my child eat and drink with invisalign?

Unlike braces, wearing Invisalign does not imply any restrictions with food or drink.

As far as food is concerned, Invisalign should always be removed before eating. Therefore, the patient can eat anything.

In the case of the drink, the ideal is to take just water with Invisalign on.

However, at this point it should be noted that if, for example we often drink coffee, it will preferable not to remove the aligner.

We make this recommendation simply because if we remove the device constantly, at the end of the day we will have worn less than 22 hours.

How long does treatment with aligners last?

The answer to this question is closely related to the previous section.

In other words, the duration of the treatment depends primarily on the complexity of malocclusion to be dealt with.

As we have indicated in the previous point, a malocclusion leve can be corrected within 12 months, whereas a severa may require 24 months or even longer.

Does Invisalign Hurt?

As detailed in one of the previous sections, the adaptation period is shorter with Invisalign than with braces.

This is because aligners are more comfortablebecause do not have metallic elements, as is the case with braces.

Therefore, no wires to stick and cause sores, wounds or chafing.

Although Invisalign does not hurt, what is certain is that during first days can be uncomfortable.

This is due to the simple pressure that the aligners make on the teeth.

However, these problems are diminishing, and when we 4 or 5 days With Invisalign we are already completely familiar with it.
