Invisible orthodontics in Sabadell

We specialise in all types of orthodontic treatment for children and adults. We tell you everything you need to know about the systems for correcting the position of teeth with Invisalign type clear aligners.

How does invisible orthodontics work?

The process of invisible orthodontics is very similar to that of traditional braces. So, broadly speaking, the most important difference is that, once supervised by the orthodontic specialist, the patient receives their clear aligners to change them periodically without the need to visit the clinic every time they change them.

If you are interested in starting invisible orthodontic treatment to correct crowded, gapped, crooked or misaligned teeth, these are the steps we follow at Ziving:

  1. An orthodontic dentist will check your mouth to rule out additional problems such as gums, swollen gums, cavities, etc.
  2. Once it has been confirmed that you can start the invisible orthodontic treatment, we will give you a diagnosis, treatment plan and a quote with payment facilities and we will show you the results we want to achieve. The quote includes all visits, diagnostic tests and guaranteed results under the supervision of the orthodontic specialist.
  3. From that moment on, we will make a sequence of clear plastic aligners (INVISALIGN®) that you will change every few days and that will gradually correct your dental malposition, according to the clinical indications of the orthodontic specialist.

Advantages of invisible orthodontics

The aligners are transparent and therefore hardly affect the aesthetics of the patient.

The results of invisible orthodontics are spectacular, with millions of patients worldwide.

Quick

In general, you will spend less time at the dentist: no adjustments and no problems with broken brackets. Aligners are changed.

Clear aligners for children (Invisalign First)

As an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatments, at Ziving Sabadell we also carry out children's treatments with the invisible orthodontic technique - Invisalign First.

Transparent aligners for children are ideal for their day-to-day life:

  • They do not interfere with speech, so it does not affect their level of self-confidence.
  • They can continue to play any kind of sport without the risk of the aligners digging into the gums.
  • They can continue to eat everything, including apples!
  • They can continue to play any musical instrument: saxophone, trumpet...

Invisalign First; advantages and differences.

Invisalign First treatment can be carried out from the time when the baby teeth start to fall out, at around 5 or 6 years of age, and it is at this time that the orthodontic specialist must assess whether early orthodontic treatment is necessary.

In the end, the aim of this type of early treatment is to adapt the space for the eruption of the permanent teeth, avoiding and preventing more complex problems that are difficult to solve in the future. It will be the orthodontist who will assess whether it is necessary to start early orthodontic treatment and the type of treatment: whether invisalign fist or conventional orthodontics.

Invisalign Teen clear aligners (Invisalign Teen)

At such a crucial time for the development of personal confidence as adolescence, invisible orthodontics with transparent aligners such as Invisalign makes it possible to correct the smile while minimally affecting aesthetics.

Younger adolescents or those whose teeth are still erupting can be treated with Invisalign Teen, which is a treatment specifically designed for teenagers.

Invisalign Teen; advantages and differences.

Compared to the classic version used by adult patients, Invisalign Teen has different elements:

- Compliance indicators or blue indicators that gradually fade to clear as wear time increases so that parents and the orthodontist can monitor whether the adolescent is wearing the aligners for the required amount of time (at least 22 hours per day).

Sets of 6 additional splints to replace the originals in case the patient loses or breaks any of them.

Clear aligners for adults

At Ziving Sabadell we have developed a new treatment philosophy DentalSPA by Ziving to make our adult patients feel as good as at home.

And for parents to take advantage of the time they spend with their children to visit the dentist!

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions we are usually asked by mothers who come to Ziving to start invisible orthodontic treatment for adolescents

What are ataches and what are they for?

The ataches are some small composite reliefs that stick to the teeth.

These ataches are used to make more effective the procedure, this is because the aligners cannot carry out the movements themselves.

That is to say, they need these small composite reliefs to be able to exercise more strength and turn the teeth.

There are different types of attachments depending on their size, shape or purpose, that is to say, the movement you want to achieve.

The placement of these attaches is customized, this means that not all patients wear the same number of teeth, or on the same teeth.

It is also very common for a person not to wear the same attachments throughout the treatment. That is to say, they are changed from time to time according to the needs of each stage.

Once the teeth have been aligned and the treatment is finished we will remove all the attaches form the teeth.

What is the ClinCheck?

The ClinCheck is probably the greatest differential element of Invisalign compared to other orthodontic systems.

We say this because ClinCheck is a software that provides a lot of predictability to the treatment

On the one hand, it allows to recreate the movements that the teeth will perform over time.

On the other hand, it makes it possible for the patient to see what the final result of his smile before we put the first aligner.

Can my child eat and drink with invisalign?

Unlike braces, wearing Invisalign does not imply any restrictions with food or drink.

As far as food is concerned, Invisalign should always be removed before eating. Therefore, the patient can eat anything.

In the case of the drink, the ideal is to take just water with Invisalign on.

However, at this point it should be noted that if, for example we often drink coffee, it will preferable not to remove the aligner.

We make this recommendation simply because if we remove the device constantly, at the end of the day we will have worn less than 22 hours.

How long does treatment with aligners last?

The answer to this question is closely related to the previous section.

In other words, the duration of the treatment depends primarily on the complexity of malocclusion to be dealt with.

As we have indicated in the previous point, a malocclusion leve can be corrected within 12 months, whereas a severa may require 24 months or even longer.

Does Invisalign Hurt?

As detailed in one of the previous sections, the adaptation period is shorter with Invisalign than with braces.

This is because aligners are more comfortablebecause do not have metallic elements, as is the case with braces.

Therefore, no wires to stick and cause sores, wounds or chafing.

Although Invisalign does not hurt, what is certain is that during first days can be uncomfortable.

This is due to the simple pressure that the aligners make on the teeth.

However, these problems are diminishing, and when we 4 or 5 days With Invisalign we are already completely familiar with it.
